NO it cannot be reversed. One can be normal if the weight is brought down but it will return if the weight goes up.

I have type two and as far as I know once you get it you own it. it can be controlled by what you eat and how well you keep it under control. learn all you can about it, I have congestive heart failure and
bad lungs to go along with it. so I don’t watch as close as I should but what the hell my days are numbered. You need to control it. Learn all you can about it side effects are everything and death so don’t mess with it, learn

Hi there, I was diagnosed with type 2 really young. I did lose weight, about 20 pounds and my A1c dropped from 8.4 to 5.4. Here’s the thing, it’s not reversed or eliminated. You’re a diabetic forever, just a diabetic with good control and normal/near normal numbers. When you lose weight your body is more sensitive to the insulin you produce and you’re also watching what you eat and how much of it. All of these help when it comes to your blood sugar numbers and controlling your disease. So even if it can’t be reversed, it will be helped a LOT by losing weight.

No but it will decrease blood sugar so a diabetic has to lose weight anyway.
