Join the Jubilee Project as we tackle type 2 diabetes, often termed the “silent killer” because of its chronic but deadly nature. Watch and share this video to help us raise awareness for diabetes. You may also become a sponsor by emailing us (project.jubilee@gmail.com) and pledging to donate a penny per view to the Union Square Family Health Center in Somerville, MA for their innovative diabetes initiatives. Type 2 diabetes is a chronic illness that causes high blood sugar resulting from insulin resistance. It represents one of the largest global burden of disease, affecting 350 million people globally and 1 out of 4 Americans. Diabetes is often correlated with issues of lifestyle, such as diet and exercise, and is also prevalent in low and middle income countries where more than 80% of diabetes deaths occur. Your videos always give me goosebumps, truly a beautiful video that I not only got a feeling of connection from but learned as much as one could ever learn in such a short space about being someone with T2D. Our common advisor has said so many times that the most important thing you can find out with your patients is what’s at stake for them, you’ve done this wonderfully here.

This is a great vid Jubilee Project! Very inspirational..my dad was dx with DM 2, years ago & he still hasn’t learned from it. I’m gonna share this video to him and hope and pray that he changes at least one aspect in his diet/lifestyle, not only for us, his family, but also for himself.

I cried when this video ended, it reminded of my grandma who died last month at the age 56 because of diabetes, this video is very touching.. and i also feel compassionate to these people in the video and other people around the world that are victims of diabetes 2, there should be a cure… but it very beautiful how these people have a strong voice. And very great Jubilee project !

Good start, but this needed the younger generation that is not the usual face of Type II diabetes too. Its those in their 20s to 50s that are in the worst denial thinking is that it is disease of the elderly and the extremely obese, not them.

Good job! Plans to make a Type 1 video? There’s definitely a different community out there for that.
