thers alot of types of diabetes how can you prevent it and whats the difference between them?

Type 1 diabetes, or Juvenile Onset diabetes, occurs when the pancreas completely shuts down and doesn’t make the insulin your body needs to control the glucose in the body.

Type 2, or Adult Onset, occurs when the pancreas isn’t making enough insulin, or when it can’t use the insulin it does produce.

You don’t have to be a kid to develop Type 1, although it’s most commonly dignosed at a very young age, and Type 2 isn’t just for adults, either. Eating right, exercising, and keeping a healthy weight are all important factors in the prevention of diabetes. Get tested every few years after the age of 45, or younger if you have a solid family history of the disease. This can catch Type 2 in the "Pre-Diabetes" stage, where the blood sugars are elevated, but not high enough to actually be considered diabetic levels. Eating right, exercising, and maintaining a healthy weight and body fat ratio, especially around the mid section where it is known to cause insulin resistance due to the fat around the pancreas itself, can delay or even prevent diabetes!
