Ive heard from some sources it does and from some that it doesnt.

Yes it does. Especially if you are a poor exerciser, you will increase your risk.

Also genetics is a big part of it. If your past family has had it before, you have a higher risk of getting it. It can be prevented though by eating right, and exercising more.

Dosen’t cause it but helps to increase it, along with obesity and red meat. Family history means nothing, americans are finding that it is increasing because of our poor diets, funny how alot of other places don’t suffer nearly as much.

It may or may not. It depends on the outcome of the person who is consuming the excessive amount of sugar.

You can not eat your way to getting diabetes. Type 1 is an autoimmune disease, no amount of food can cause it. Type 2 is caused by a hereditary metabolic disorder where your body does not utilize insulin properly.

like german shepard said, type 1 is an autoimmune disease, nothing causes this disease and anything you do cannot prevent it. It usually develops before someone is fully grown, i was diagnosed at 14 months where my cousin was diagnosed at 18 years. Type 2 is not necessarily genetic. this can develop from poor diet, lack of exercise or old age. so all in all, for type 2 its really a carbs, calories, and exercise thing. you have less of a chance of being diagnosed if you live a generally healthy lifestyle, but there is till a chance.
